Time to Start Gifting Again

empty pringles can made into cookie gift can
Yay, it's time for presents once again! Even better than getting gifts is the thrill one gets from preparing and wrapping gifts for others. Just thinking about the look on the recipient's face and how excited they'll be when they accept your holiday gift...knowing that it's from the heart is the ultimate show of love and devotion to that person.

As baking is the favoured pastime for the holidays, cookies are considered the best gift for giving - whether it be to coworkers, friends, or even family members. This homemade cookie gift tin will make those cookies worth even more to those special someones. It's quick and easy to create...the only 'hard' part will be having to eat all the Pringles chips so you can use the can ;)

Equipment Needed

  • empty Pringles can (tall or short)
  • thin ribbon
  • double-sided tape
  • gift wrap paper
  • exacto knife
  • spray adhesive

Method

  1. Wash out empty Pringles can.
  2. Cut gift wrap paper down to size to cover the perimeter of the can.
  3. Spray adhesive unto the surface and attach around the can.
  4. Use an exacto knife to trim excess paper from the top edge of the can.
  5. Attach a length of ribbon around the bottom and up the sides of the now-covered can, with double-sided tape, leaving enough ribbon to tie a bow at the top of the can.
  6. Place cookies in the can.
  7. Cover the tin with it's lid.
  8. Seal the can with a bow tied to the top of the can.

This gifting idea is perfect for wrapping and delivering homemade cookies - icebox sugar cookies in particular - to friends and family for this special time of year.
